Little Mix Kilimanjaro hike put them on the fast trek to weight loss

LITTLE MIX stars Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall have revealed their climb up Mt Kilimanjaro put them on the fast trek to weight loss.
The singers said they’d shed pounds — as well as raising them — by scaling the 16,100ft peak for Comic Relief.
Leigh-Anne, 27, who has also been busy promoting Umbro’s SS19 collection, exclusively told Metro: ‘I don’t even know how I’m standing right now. It is just crazy. Jade got quite ill.’
She added: ‘You lose calories just from standing still at that altitude.’

Jade said the gruelling adventure on the volcano in Tanzania saw the pair bond with the other celebrities taking part, who included Love Island winner Dani Dyer and former MP Ed Balls.
‘Weirdly, we all managed to make it up at the same time which is unheard of,’ the 26-year-old said. ‘So it was amazing. We made some really good friends. It was very difficult. It was the hardest thing we have ever done in our lives.
‘I got bad altitude sickness. Hopefully it will raise a lot of money for Comic Relief.’

The pair’s bandmate Jesy Nelson, 27, agreed the toll taken by the tough challenge was clear to see, saying: ‘They have come back and lost so much weight.’ Leigh-Anne posted snaps of the bird’s eye view from the peak, where the contestants had celebrated in front of the sign that tells climbers they have finally reached their goal.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘I pushed my body to the limit, never gave up and conquered! I feel so privileged to have met such beautiful people that I now see as friends for life.
‘We were a unit and we stuck together and we touched that sign together. A moment I’ll never forget. Now we need to raise a s***load of money. I am so proud of what we’ve done.’
