Liam Payne: Even popping out for a burger made me flip

LIAM PAYNE blames his One Direction fame for leaving him ‘nuts’.

Even trying to grab a burger left him terrified, admitted the 24-year-old.

Recalling 1D mania following their 2010 X Factor run, Liam said: ‘Fame made me a little bit nuts and distracted me a lot from the person I was.

‘And it p***ed me off. Nobody really knew anything about me. I put on a front that wasn’t really me.’

Now a solo performer and the dad of 13-month-old Bear, his son with Cheryl, Liam told #Legend magazine: ‘My dad, bless him, was like, “Why don’t we just go out somewhere for a burger?” And I was like, “It’s not that simple.”’

He says they went out, but ‘had to change restaurants three times, my mum got knocked over by a paparazzi… I threw a little tantrum’.
