Len, a glutton for pun-ishment

FOND of terrible jokes? Good, because Lenny Henry has plenty.
Sir Lenny — who launched the first Red Nose Day in 1988 — tested his material on GP TV before his hosting duties. Asked about his gag of choice, the 58-year-old told us: ‘I always liked, “What’s brown and sticky? A stick” and “What do you call a dog with no legs? Anything you like, it won’t come”.’
Two of his co-hosts, Smack The Pony’s Sally Phillips and Warwick Davis also shared their creaky crackers. ‘Why do little chickies walk softly?’ asked Sally, 46. ‘They can’t walk hardly!’
Warwick, 47, offered: ‘A guy went into a doctor’s surgery and said to the receptionist, “I’m here for my appointment”. She says, “Which doctor”, and he says, “No, just an ordinary GP”.’
