Lauren Steadman’s out of Strictly as Ashley Roberts is saved

ASHLEY ROBERTS has made it through to the Strictly Come Dancing final after judges voted Lauren Steadman out.

Former Pussycat Doll Ashley faced her third consecutive dance-off after criticism from viewers over her dancing background. But judges voted to save her and partner Pasha Kovalev after they performed their American smooth routine.

Paralympic athlete Lauren and partner AJ Pritchard were voted off by all the judges after their dance-off tango but Lauren said she has ‘loved’ her time on the show.

She added: ‘It has been so much more than anyone ever tells you it’s going to be, down to the smallest things — I mean outfits, hair, makeup, this man (AJ), the judges, all the choreographers.

‘I can’t tell you just how magical it is.’

AJ praised Lauren for changing opinions about disability. He said: ‘You have attacked everything. You have always been stubborn, you have always been “I will be able to get this lift”. You have done yourself proud.’

The final four couples fight it out on Saturday night, with the viewers deciding who wins.
