Kylie & Jason in tune for Ramsay Street’s gay wedding

NEIGHBOURS turned to ex-stars Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan to soundtrack the soap’s first gay wedding.

The pair’s 1989 hit Especially For You was played as characters Aaron Brennan and David Tanaka got hitched on the Channel 5 show.

Soap bosses were praised for using the track to celebrate the show’s first on-screen gay wedding. Australia legalised same-sex marriages in December last year.

Yesterday’s show saw Aaron and David — played by Matt Wilson and Takaya Honda — tie the knot in Ramsay Street as Kylie and Jason’s song played in the background.
