Knock, knock… who’s here? Matt Smith’s wrong house blunder

MATT SMITH may have journeyed across time and space as Doctor Who… but the streets of north London proved rather more difficult for the former Time Lord.

Matt, 36, was attempting to deliver flowers and Krispy Kreme doughnuts to his friend, actress Billie Piper, who has just had a child with her musician partner Johnny Lloyd.

Accompanied by his girlfriend, Mamma Mia! star Lily James, 29, they traipsed the streets looking for the right house — at one stage Matt knocked on the wrong front door. Embarrassed, he gave up and phoned Lloyd for directions to the home, where they were welcomed by their chuckling host.
