Kesha … some swear over the rainbow

KESHA says she has survived a ‘s***storm’ … but can see the Rainbow.
The pop star choked back tears as she presented songs from her upcoming album Rainbow during an exclusive music showcase in London.
It’s Kesha’s first material in four years following her legal battle with US producer Dr Luke over allegations that he sexually assaulted and abused her — claims he denies.
‘I poured my f***ing guts out,’ said the 30-year-old. ‘I would lie on the ground, look up at the sky, weep, laugh… that’s how I made it through those four years.
‘But the s***storm is over and this is the beginning of the good stuff. This is the project I’ve dreamt of making, the stars just didn’t align until now.’
The album is out on August 11 and, while the Tik Tok star says she learned ‘to let go’, some of her comeback tracks seem to hit out at Dr Luke, 43. On new single Praying, out now, Kesha sings: ‘You brought the flames, you put me through hell, I had to learn how to fight for myself, and we both know all the truth I could tell.’
Pre-empting tomorrow’s Pride celebrations, Kesha flew into LA wearing a rainbow-decorated top.
■ KESHA says making her new album could be described as a near-death experience after recalling how she became trapped in a music studio. ‘I ended up getting stuck in a vocal booth and almost suffocated to death,’ she exclaimed. ‘I had to get drilled out and pulled through the window!’ Kesha’s new album Rainbow includes a ditty inspired by what she called the ‘ew-ness’ of Donald Trump.
