Kate Garraway: ‘Sex is a plate of curly kale’

KATE GARRAWAY made it her mission to get healthy as she turned 50 — and the plan led to an unexpected uptick in bedroom-related activity.
The ITV presenter told Loose Women this morning how a health scare prompted the sex-ploration.
‘I had incredible pains in my chest and was rushed to hospital,’ she shared.
‘Thankfully, it wasn’t anything serious — I had just pulled cartilages in my rib cage — but it was really painful and the doctor looked at it and said: “At your time of life you’ve got to start being more careful.”
‘It started a whole process of thinking about what turning 50 meant.’
And Kate’s investigations revealed that sex is good for you, apparently.
‘If you have two orgasms a week, it slashes your heart rate tremendously,’ she said.
‘It changes the cellular structure of your skin, you can look much younger because of it, it makes you feel good, it makes your brain work.
‘I read all this and now I feel like sex is a plate of curly kale.’
In fact, Kate was so enthused that she persuaded her husband to take part in a 14-day sex-periment, where couples schedule in sex every day for two weeks.
Perhaps it’s just as well she did as his response was: ‘Who with?’
