Jonathan Rhys Meyers: I don’t want my boy to be inspired by me

JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS doesn’t want his young son to look up to him.

The Tudors actor, who recently had a drunken meltdown at Los Angeles airport, explained how being dad to a 20-month-old son keeps him on track.

The beleaguered star, who has scrubbed up to plug new flick Damascus Cover, said: ‘My son, Wolf, is the most important thing in my life. He is my inspiration.’

Rhys Meyers, 41, married to film producer Mara Lane, went on: ‘I don’t want my son to be inspired by me, I am inspired by him.

‘And my incredible, beautiful, superior wife. I wouldn’t be the person that I am today without them.’
