Jon Hamm lays bare the secrets of his soft porn career

JON HAMM has revealed his showbiz career began in soft porn films.

The Mad Men smoothie wasn’t in front of the camera but got hired as a set-dresser after moving to LA at 25.

He had lost a catering gig and a friend invited him to take her job working on ‘soft-core t***y movies’ because she found it ‘soul-crushing’.

The St Louis-born star, now 47, had no idea what set dressing entailed but the friend gave him her box of tools and said: ‘They’ll hire anybody. You just move s*** around.’

Hamm confided to Esquire magazine: ‘I went in the following Monday and said, “I’m the new set-dresser”. Literally, no one blinked.’
