Joe Sugg: I’m nervous over Strictly
YOUTUBE vlogger Joe Sugg has millions of followers but said he fears Strictly Come Dancing fans won’t know who he is after he joined the show.
The 26-year-old, who has 8million subscribers, said ‘a lot of people’ might say ‘who?’ after he was unveiled. ‘I’ve only popped up in the last six years on YouTube,’ he said.
The 5ft 8in former roof thatcher is said to be sensitive about his height but added: ‘I’m a big fan of a Cuban heel as I’m not the tallest. So I’m going to really embrace that.’
The vlogger, whose sister Zoe is also a social media star under the name Zoella, added: ‘I’m very nervous about it. It’s totally out of my comfort zone and I know it will be a huge challenge but that’s what life is all about.’
He claimed he is not a great dancer, explaining: ‘I have always been drunk!’
TV presenter Katie Piper, Steps singer Faye Tozer and Red Dwarf actor Danny John-Jules have also been unveiled.
