Jenna and Tom to rule airwaves once again

REAL-LIFE couple Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes are set to rule the small screen once again in the new series of Victoria.

This first-look picture gives fans a peek of what to expect from the second helping of ITV’s acclaimed period drama.

Reprising their roles as Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, Coleman and Hughes, both 31, sit in what appears to be a banqueting hall. Coleman, dressed to impress in an off-the-shoulder gown, is seen politely clapping, while husband Albert seems more pensive.

Series one — on the set of which the love-struck stars met — concluded with the birth of a baby, and creator Daisy Goodwin has teased the follow-up will chronicle Victoria’s struggle with motherhood.

‘[They’re] facing the challenge of being parents… it’s a time of great personal and political unrest. What could go wrong?’ she said.

Series two — to air in the autumn — sees Dame Diana Rigg, 79, and Line Of Duty star Martin Compston, 33, join the cast.
