James Corden blasted for smooching Trump’s chump

JAMES CORDEN sparked outrage by planting a kiss on the cheek of Donald Trump’s old mouthpiece Sean Spicer… and, no, this is not fake news.
Fans turned on the TV star as pictures of him playfully cosying up to the much-mocked ex-White House press secretary emerged after the Primetime Emmy Awards.
‘Americans are finally waking up and seeing just how much of a bellend James Corden is… and no, we’re not taking him back,’ one blasted on Twitter.
Another posted: ‘Acting like Sean Spicer is just another funny guy is the same blurring of entertainment and politics that led to Trump becoming president.’
Corden, 39, who has often criticised Mr Trump on his US TV show, had not responded to the backlash last night.
Spicer’s appearance at Sunday’s bash at the Microsoft Theater, in LA, visibly shocked stars. After being introduced by host Stephen Colbert, the 45-year-old — who quit his role in July — poked fun at disproved claims about Mr Trump’s inauguration attracting the largest-ever audience.
‘This will be the largest audience to witness the Emmys, period,’ he said, as Melissa McCarthy — the woman who portrayed him on Saturday Night Live — wriggled uncomfortably in her seat. Her co-star Alec Baldwin was named the best supporting actor in a comedy for his portrayal of Trump on the hit US series.
In his speech, he joked: ‘My wife and I had three children in three years. We didn’t have a child last year during the SNL season. Men … put that orange wig on, it’s birth control, trust me.’
Later, Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda shared their own anti-Trump moment, saying they ‘refused to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot’ in a 9 to 5 reunion.
Away from politics, the night was ruled by The Handmaid’s Tale, which took home six gongs. Big Little Lies won five.
