J-Lo’s pitch to new man Alex led to love at first strike…
JENNIFER LOPEZ wasn’t afraid to step up to the plate when it came to pulling former baseball star Alex Rodriguez.
The Love Don’t Cost A Thing singer revealed she made the first move as she spoke about their burgeoning romance.
‘It’s very simple. I was having lunch somewhere and I saw him,’ the star said. ‘For some reason I felt like tapping him on the shoulder and saying. “hi”. And that was it! More stuff happened but that’s how we met.’
The 47-year-old continued: ‘He texted me and said, “Let’s go out to dinner,” and I said, “OK.” We had a nice dinner.’
Did they also enjoy, dessert?
‘Mama don’t sleep over on the first date,’ she giggled, while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday.
The pair started dating in March, and Lopez, it seems, can’t get enough of her new man — yesterday she uploaded a video of the ex-New York Yankees star’s baseball highlights on to her Instagram account, and captioned it ‘Wow’.
The feeling appears to be mutual.
Alex has previously gushed of the ‘incredible’ mum-of-two: ‘We’re having a great time. She’s an amazing, amazing girl. One of the smartest human beings I’ve met.’
One thing they have in common is a combined compendium of famous exes.
While Rodriguez, 41, wooed Madonna, 58, and Cameron Diaz ,44, in the past, three-time divorcee J-Lo was linked to rapper Drake as recently as December. She appeared to confirm the fling by sharing a shot of her canoodling with the Hotline Bling singer — prompting his on/off lover Rihanna to ‘unfollow’ her on Instagram.
The actress remains on good terms with ex-hubby Marc Anthony, dad to her twins Emme and Maximillian, nine.
