It’s (Nearly) a wrap! The doctor Versus the mummy

The 58-year-old looked to be having a pharaoh time on the streets of Cardiff yesterday as he was snapped battling a mysterious mummy in the new series of the BBC1 sci-fi show.

Co-stars Pearl Mackie, 29, who plays the time lord’s new sidekick Bill Potts, and Matt Lucas, 42, — who is Nardole — were also seen recording scenes in the chilly Welsh weather.

They were flanked by armed officers of the Memory Police clad in red fatigues — and the villain looked to be a mummy in red robes.

Capaldi stunned fans last week by announcing this will be his last series as the Doctor.

His regeneration is expected to be aired in the Christmas episode.
