It’s a taxing time for booed Bono

BONO’S tax troubles appeared to catch up with him as he was booed by fans at the MTV EMAs.

The U2 rocker, whose financial dealings were recently leaked in the Paradise Papers, was jeered as he collected the global icon gong on Sunday.

The 57-year-old (pictured above with U2 bandmates) responded by singing a snippet of Stormzy’s hit Blinded By Your Grace Pt.2.

Instead it was left to guitarist The Edge to win over fans. ‘People always ask, “How have you kept your band together?”’ he said. ‘I could not have done this without these guys’ support. Truly, they are the wind beneath my wings.’
