It was Noel v Knowles on I’m A Celebrity
NOEL EDMONDS may have only been in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle for just over a week, but he managed to ruffle a few feathers.
After yesterday’s denial that there was any ongoing feud between the former House Party presenter and I’m A Celebrity host Holly Willoughby, it emerged that Noel managed to clash with fellow contestant Nick Knowles.
Since Hollyoaks actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer became the second campmate to be eliminated from the reality show on Sunday night, he has revealed that there were tensions between the two that didn’t make it on air.
According to Malique, ITV cut out scenes that saw Noel deny the theory of evolution to Nick.
‘They were having these big disputes,’ Malique told The Sun. ‘They debated evolution and Nick said we have all evolved from monkeys, and I don’t think Noel believes it.’
The fall-out echoes other assertions from Noel relating to ‘negative energy’ causing cancer, which were made during a This Morning interview and reportedly caused a rift with presenter Holly.
Certainly, it seems very little love was lost between Noel and Nick, as since his exit Edmonds has described the DIY SOS host as being ‘in it to win it’.
But Malique reckons Nick’s a nice guy, saying: ‘Nick was doing so much. He even made a washing line. Harry was next to the fire, getting smoked up, and he made this cover out of palm leaves to stop the smoke, so he’s very handy — I don’t think he was irritating anyone.’
