Is Jon Hamm Mad for Kate Beckinsale?
IT didn’t look like Kate Beckinsale needed to do much to advertise her wares to Mad Men star Jon Hamm at the weekend.
The pair were reportedly seen ‘flirting’ up a storm at a JJ Abrams bash in LA.
‘They were flirting and he kept going back to her all night,’ an insider told Page Six. ‘It was like he couldn’t leave her.’
‘She had a friend with her, but they were kind of ignoring her and just talking to each other.’
Sounds promising and, luckily, both are single as Hamm, 46, split from his long-term partner Jennifer Westfeldt over 18 months ago and Beckinsale, 43, left her ex-husband Len Wiseman in November 2015.
■ Kate’s first husband, meanwhile — Michael Sheen — has been described by his current partner US comedian Sarah Silverman as her ‘on-again, off-again lover’ because he has returned to the UK.
‘His daughter [Lily, from his relationship with Beckinsale] turned 18 and he wanted to go home,’ she explained — hinting that he might also have a more political motive.
‘You know how I’m, like, kind of politically active? Well he wants to be [too], and he needs to be home to do that, so he’s there a lot,’ she told US TV host Jimmy Kimmel, who, confusingly, happens to be her ex.
It sounds like Sarah and Michael are still going strong, though, as she added, ‘we just long for each other and we see each other and we love each other’. Romance all round then.
