I’m A Celebrity: Stanley’s grumble in the jungle

THERE was a rumble in the jungle last night as Iain Lee locked horns with Stanley Johnson.
Tensions boiled over during an I’m A Celebrity challenge which saw the pair row over the best way to count hundreds of pebbles.
‘You are the most obstinate man, Iain. You are not ready to recognise your system is wrong,’ blasted the former politician.
The broadcaster replied: ‘Stanley, you are the most obstinate person I’ve ever met. If anyone dares disagree with you, then they are obstinate.’
Still riled up, Iain, 44, vented to fellow campmate Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo, 23: ‘He used the “O word” on me. I nearly used the “W word” on him, but that would be inappropriate.’
He then compared Stanley to the late US cult leader, Jim Jones.
‘You know the guy who convinced everyone to drink the Kool Aid because they were going to be taken to Heaven in a spaceship? I’m sorry, but I’m looking at Kool Aid thinking, it is poisonous,’ he cryptically said.
Iain later apologised to the 77-year-old dad-of-six for his outburst.

Meanwhile, it was far from hunky-dory when ex-footballer Dennis Wise, 50, and actor Jamie Lomas, 42, took on Rebecca Vardy, 35, and comedian Shappi Khorsandi, 44, in a ‘race against the elements’.
Helicoptered into the middle of the jungle, the ‘boys versus girls’ teams were tasked to make a fire, abseil down a rock face and swim across a fast-moving river. The girls lost and footballer’s wife Becky wasn’t happy. ‘I was f***ing fuming,’ she admitted. ‘I was desperate to win, but f***ing Shappi… oh my god.’
The boys went to Snake Rock for a feast of roasted lamb, chicken and potatoes, while the girls ate rice and beans in Croc Creek.
