ROB LOWE has staked his claim for this year’s showbiz ‘paddleboard moment’. The West Wing star narrowly avoided the Jaws of death while paddling perilously close to a couple of great white sharks.

Last year Orlando Bloom broke the internet with his naked paddleboard ride beside then-girlfriend Katy Perry.

Now Lowe, 53, has made waves of his own — and kept his clothes on.

Video footage shows the actor calmly bobbing along next to the sharks in Santa Barbara, California. ‘Both were bigger than my board,’ said Lowe.

He later tweeted he has ‘seen a lot of sharks’ in showbiz.
