‘I have nightmares about Friends reboot,’ says Matthew Perry

THE rest of us might long for a return of nineties sitcom Friends, but the same cannot be said of its resident funnyman.
Matthew Perry, who played Chandler Bing in the popular show, has admitted he actually has bad dreams about the prospect.
Speaking to Variety, he said: ‘I have this recurring nightmare — I’m not kidding about this. When I’m asleep, I have this nightmare that we do Friends again and nobody cares.
‘We do a whole series, we come back, and nobody cares about it.’
This might explain Matthew’s reticence about a reboot.
‘So if anybody asks me, I’m gonna say “no”,’ he said.
But perhaps the real reason is that he doesn’t think anything they did now could match up to the original.
‘The thing is, we ended on such a high; we can’t beat it. Why would we go and do it again?’ he said.
