How being branded a love cheat landed Kutcher top character part

ASHTON KUTCHER reckons that being tagged a ‘love rat’ proved character-building.

The actor, 39, said his ‘name was splashed across every gossip magazine as an adulterer’ when ex-wife Demi Moore, 54, kicked him out in 2013.

Speaking about the divorce, the dad-of-two said he felt ‘how much loss is in there’ and understood his parents’ divorce ‘in a whole different way’.

Accepting an award for character in Des Moines, Iowa, he said: ‘Character comes out when those magazines tear you apart and you gotta go out and perform.’

He also paid tribute to his new wife, actress Mila Kunis, 33, mother of his children, Wyatt Isabelle, two and six-month-old son Dimitri Portwood. He said she ‘kicked my ass on character’.
