Health-conscious Ed kicking bad habits to hang with new pal Tom

The Shape of You singer revealed: ‘I chain-smoked. I drank a lot of alcohol and ate very unhealthily, and I just kind of cut 39 per cent of that out.’

Ed, whose new album ÷ is chasing Adele’s 25 and Oasis Be Here Now to be the fastest selling release ever, continued: ‘I still do all those things, but my dad said, “Everything in moderation”. I just basically needed to moderate.’

Meanwhile, two stars collided when the 26-year-old met Golden Globe-winning actor Tom Hiddleston, 36, as he sang at a secret gig in New York for SiriusXM.
