Harry-lujah! Redknapp is crowned king of the jungle

HARRY REDKNAPP was king of the jungle last night as he was voted winner of I’m A Celebrity.
The football boss said the show had taught him ‘how to laugh again’ as he triumphed over Emily Atack, 28, who was runner-up, and John Barrowman, 51, who came third. More than 11million viewers voted during the final.

Harry, 71, said: ‘I’m amazed I survived three weeks. As a football man it’s a serious business, it’s a very lonely business, but it’s taught me how to laugh again.’ He told hosts Dec Donnelly and Holly Willoughby. ‘It was tough. The food is not great. I thought we’d get a nice bit of grub every night.’
All three went through a final bushtucker trial to win their last supper.

John had to eat worms, water spider, a goat’s eye, and a bull’s penis, while Emily endured creepy crawlies while wearing a diver’s helmet.

Harry lay in a chamber while cockroaches, crickets and mealworms were tipped on him, followed by 80 rats. ‘I’m scared of rats,’ he said. ‘One started to go up my trouser leg shorts, and I said, “You won’t find much up there”.’
Harry, who impressed TV bosses with his razor-sharp wit, has been tipped for a series of lucrative deals, including a show with Noel Edmonds and fronting a comedy panel game.
Emily and John could be back as a double act in their own show thanks to the chemistry between them.
