Gwyneth Paltrow: Uncoupling phrase was ‘dorky’
GWYNETH PALTROW has admitted that using the term ‘conscious uncoupling’ to describe her break-up from Chris Martin was ‘dorky’.
The Oscar-winning actress split from the Coldplay singer in 2014, and the pair used the phrase in a blog post to detail the reasons why their marriage ended.
The statement made mum-of-two Paltrow, 44, a figure of ridicule, but she doesn’t regret using the words.
She told Net-A-Porter’s The Edit magazine: ‘I know it’s a dorky term, but it’s worthwhile.’ She ‘got s***’ from fans at first, but later people said: ‘Maybe that’s a good idea.’
