Goss: I wish George Michael and I hadn’t split

GEORGE MICHAEL’S ex Kenny Goss has opened up about the singer for the first time since his death.
The Texan art dealer, who dated the Careless Whisper singer for 13 years, described George as ‘the love of his life’ in an interview for NBC.
Speaking in a clip from the programme, which is to be aired tonight, Goss said: ‘We just had a really good, sweet relationship. We weren’t even mad at each other or anything like that.
‘He was truly the love of my life. And I think I was the love of his life.’
He added that he had his regrets about their split, saying: ‘I think we both wished, certainly, that we would have stayed together.
‘I really miss him. You really miss him when you know that’s not an option any more.’
The pair split up in 2009, prompting a rough spell for George, which included famously crashing his car into a photo shop in 2010, as well as falling out of a moving car on a motorway in May 2013.
When asked about George’s relationship with his most recent boyfriend of four years Fadi Fawaz, Goss would only say: ‘I know nothing about that.’
Fadi discovered George’s body on Christmas day and although his death is being treated as ‘non-suspicious’, a major crime unit is investigating his death.
