‘Go easy’ pleads Jennifer Lawrence hacker

A HACKER who helped leak intimate pictures of actress Jennifer Lawrence online has asked a judge to go easy on his sentencing.

George Garofano, 26, from Connecticut, pleaded guilty in April to hacking more than 240 celebrity iCloud accounts in 2014 along with three other individuals. Prosecutors in the US state recommended he be jailed for 10-16 months.

But Garofano argued in court documents this week that it was the first time he had a brush with the law and said he had a ‘middle-class upbringing in a stable home’.

Lawrence (pictured), 28, compared the humiliation of the leaked pics to being ‘gangbanged by the f***ing planet’.
