Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts threatened by bitter ex Carl Davies

GIRLS ALOUD singer Nicola Roberts’s bitter ex has been given a lifetime restraining order after bombarding her with threatening messages.
Army veteran Carl Davies, who served in Afghanistan and suffered post traumatic stress disorder, threatened to stab and burn the 31-year-old star, in 3,000 messages sent from 35 fake Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Knife and fire emojis were among messages in which the 39-year-old former soldier declared his love and sent bouquets of flowers to the singer’s manager’s office. Roberts never replied but kept copies of every message during a five-year period from 2012.
She went to the police when Davies switched his attention to her friend, R‘n’B singer Joel Compass.
One message sent to Compass read: ‘I’ll burn you once I finish with your face and body.’ Roberts and Davies, of Flint, north Wales, were reportedly engaged until their stormy 18-month relationship ended in 2008.
He was given a 15-month suspended prison sentence at Guildford crown court on Friday and ordered not to go within 250m of Roberts and her family after he admitted stalking and persistently using public communications to cause annoyance or inconvenience.
