Gigi Hadid’s putting accent on learning the lingo to talk like Zayn Malik

MODEL Gigi Hadid has revealed she wants to lose her American twang so she can speak with a northern accent like her pop star lover Zayn Malik.
And she is watching boxsets of British TV shows to nail the lingo.
Speaking before she hit the catwalk for Tommy Hilfiger’s London Fashion Week Show last night, Hadid admitted she loves the timbre of Bradford-born Malik’s voice.
‘I do practise it,’ Gigi said. ‘Sometimes Zee thinks I’m making fun of him. I’m like, “Babe, I’m not making fun of you. I just love the accent”.’
And the 22-year-old reckons Channel 4 teen drama Skins is the best show to watch to ‘practise your accent on’.
‘We recently re-watched it all. It’s so good,’ she gushed. Hadid is also immersing herself in British culture to make sure Dusk Till Dawn singer Malik, 24, doesn’t miss Yorkshire.
And she’s been taking tips from his mother, Trisha, to give the former One Direction star a taste of home.
‘Zayn has helped me a lot with my British food love and Indian food love, and his mom is an amazing cook,’ she told Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw.
‘They have made me a huge fan of British food.
‘Sunday roasts I love. Curry… I’m trying to learn everything as I go and make a little cook book, instead of annoying his mom every week by texting her,’ she said.
