Game over as Kit Harington gets Throne out of pool bar
OH NO, Jon Snow… Kit Harington may play the King in the North on Game Of Thrones — but a recent booze-fuelled bender in New York well and truly went south.
Being one of the most famous men on television didn’t save the apparently sozzled British actor from being unceremoniously booted out of a bar in the Big Apple.
Kit was a long way from the fictional world of Westeros when he was caught on camera causing mischief at the Barfly pub on Friday night.
Footage leaked online shows the 31-year-old looking a little worse for wear and slurring his words while arguing with locals over a game of pool.
He is heard demanding that one punter ‘give me the cue’ before later grabbing at one.
Kit, unsteady on his feet, is seen being held back and supported by a male friend, who assures concerned staff that he is ‘fine’.
At one point, the telly heart-throb brushes past a woman, who urges him to say “Excuse me” in future.
Eventually, he is asked to leave the drinking hole on Third Avenue and does so. But he then returns and has to be physically removed.
‘Once he’s outside, that’s it,’ warns the bouncer who kicks him out.
Poor Kit couldn’t even spend the next day burying his head under the duvet.
Less than 24 hours later, he had to join his GoT co-star Emilia Clarke on the red carpet at the annual Sean Penn & Friends Haiti Rising Gala at Milk Studios in Los Angeles.
Kit may well have been battling a hangover because he seemed decidedly glum while posing for pictures. While a beaming Emilia, also 31, looked striking in a red skirt and shirt, a suited-and-booted Kit struggled to raise a smile.
Last week, it was confirmed that the eighth and final season of Game Of Thrones will not be airing until next year.
