Full Disclosure… we’re taking some time out

AFTER hanging out with former US president Barack Obama and scoring studio time with everyone from The Weeknd to Sam Smith, Disclosure are taking a breather.
In an exclusive chat with Guilty Pleasures, brothers Howard, 22, and Guy Lawrence, 25, revealed they’re trading in hobnobbing for backpacking and, randomly, gardening.
‘Guy is in south-east Asia, I’m not sure where,’ said Howard. ‘Me? I’m planting trees.’
The Holding On hitmakers need a rest after seven years in showbusiness, which has seen them tour the world and release two albums.
‘Now felt like a good time to relax and regroup,’ added Howard.
The pair refuse to put a date on their return — or the release of their next record. ‘Sometimes it’s best not to lay out plans,’ said Howard. He also assured fans they have ‘no plans for dramatic split-for-solo-projects’.
Looking back at their rise to fame, Howard recalled: ‘We got invited to the White House when Obama was president and his dogs were the first to greet us — it was amazing.
‘We also played Coachella. A sandstorm hit our gig. That was pretty bizarre.’
However, the lads still have work to do — they’re curating the Wild Life festival with co-creators Rudimental. ‘Being artists, we want Wild Life to have that personal touch. It isn’t some faceless organisation like many other festivals out there,’ he said.
Featuring Fatboy Slim, Dizzee Rascal and Stormzy, Wild Life takes place at Brighton City Airport on June 9 and 10.
