WOULD they be yet another Eurovision Tragedy or Stomp away with the crown?

Either way, Steps have confirmed they are toying with idea of flying the flag for the United Kingdom.

The 5, 6, 7, 8 singers say former flag-bearers Blue are trying to convince them to enter the cheesy songfest.

Speaking at their Steps concert DVD premiere, Claire Richards wouldn’t rule it out, saying: ‘Never say never.’

Steps stormed the charts with new album Tears On the Dancefloor last year, and Richards, 40, said bandmate Ian ‘H’ Watkins is desperate to do it.

‘If you ask H, he will say yes; ask the rest of us, possibly not,’ she said. ‘When the rest of Europe like us, which will probably never happen, then maybe.’
