Emilia’s just another statistic

GAME Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has opened up about her battle with sexism in the fame game.
The 30-year-old, who plays dragon queen Daenerys Targaryen (pictured below) in the HBO drama, wrote about the inequality she has endured in her career in an essay to mark International Women’s Day.
‘Do I get treated equally at work? Not always. Does every woman? No, and the statistics back that up,’ she wrote.
Clarke said she faces sexism time and again as people obsess about her nude scenes on the fantasy world show.
‘If you’ve watched Game Of Thrones then, spoiler, you will have seen me in the nude,’ she added. ‘There are plenty of ways in which people want me to respond to questions about this fact. And plenty of reasons why I do not feel the need to justify myself.’
She wrote about her experiences in a post for the Huffington Post UK’s All Women Everywhere campaign.
