Ed Sheeran reveals ‘fat boy’ fears

TOPPING the charts made Ed Sheeran fear he’d be labelled the fat boy of pop by fans.

He inevitably compared himself to ‘Justin Bieber or the One Direction lot’, so ditched the carbs to emulate the ripped pin-ups.

‘I was like, “They’re so photogenic. They’ve got six packs. I should look like that”. But should I care? No one’s bought my records based on me looking a certain way,’ the Shape Of You singer, 26, told George Ezra’s podcast.

‘I had zero insecurities before. I was born with ginger hair. But, in the public eye, people pick holes. You think, “Am I fat?”’
