Drake’s playlist gives British acts a helping hand to crack America

DRAKE has given British music pals Skepta and Giggs a leg-up on the ladder to crack the American music market, by featuring their work on his latest album.
The Canadian superstar has collaborated with UK acts on his More Life playlist to ‘introduce new music and new artists to the world’, said producer Nineteen85.
Skepta saw a 21 per cent rise in streams on Spotify as a result of his collab. And Giggs enjoyed a 146 per cent leap in plays of his tracks by US subscribers.
Brits Sampha and Jorja Smith also feature on the 22-track playlist.
Drake celebrated by popping champagne corks with pals at a posh London diner before his Boy Meets World gig at London’s O2 Arena.
