Don’t stop me now: Lucy Boynton’s Mercury prize is fame… and Rami Malek

LUCY BOYNTON plans to ride her luck all the way after her role in box office smash Bohemian Rhapsody landed her fame and a real-life boyfriend.
The actress dates Rami Malek, who won best actor Oscar for his portrayal of late Queen rocker Freddie Mercury.
In the film, she played Mercury’s one-time fiancée Mary Austin — and is now enjoying her own moment in the spotlight, vamping up in ’80s make-up and a pink frock to pose on the cover of Rollacoaster magazine.
Lucy, 25, said the role was a ‘pivotal experience in my own life’.
Looking back on her acting bow, aged 12, in Miss Potter — a biopic about children’s author Beatrix Potter — she said: ‘I started at an age where I wasn’t aiming for a career. I just loved the opportunity to do something I love so much.
‘So that has really set me up for my focus on every job. I’ve always felt the need to prove myself and that I deserve to be here by working as hard as I can.’
