David Walliams jokes about plastic surgery for Simon Cowell’s boy

THE fierce rivalry between Britain’s Got Talent stars Simon Cowell and David Walliams seems to have spread to their children after the comic told the TV mogul his son ‘needs plastic surgery’.
Walliams, 46, admits he delivered the quip about Cowell’s four-year-old Eric after Simon asked him to say who he thought was the better-looking of their two kids.
Walliams, who has a son Alfred, five, with his ex-wife Lara Stone, said: ‘Simon Cowell is so competitive. He’s competitive about every single thing you could be competitive about.
‘He even said to me one day, “Who do you think is better-looking — my son or your son?”
‘I said, “Well, my son is obviously better-looking but the good thing is you’re rich, so you can pay for your son to have plastic surgery”.’
He claimed Cowell then called out to Eric’s mum, Lauren Silverman, saying, ‘Lauren, Lauren, David just said Eric needs plastic surgery’.
David and Simon have formed a bromance since appearing as judges on BGT, and the former Little Britain star added: ‘There’s nothing we wouldn’t say to each other. We’re like brothers. We sort of love each other but hate each other in equal measure.’
Walliams’ latest comments about the show are unlikely to curry favour with his boss Cowell.
‘I love doing Britain’s Got Talent, it’s super-fun,’ he admitted. ‘But as soon as it’s off TV people forget about it. Even sometimes the day after the final people say, “Who won?”’
Meanwhile Cowell, 58, wants young Eric to take over his showbiz empire one day — but warned he’ll have to start from the bottom by making the tea.
Insisting that no one ‘should have anything for nothing’, he added: ‘I would have him start as an intern, learn the job. The idea that one day he could be doing this or something similar, I would love that.’
Cowell concluded: ‘He’s so competitive, the most competitive person I’ve ever met in my life!’
