Craig David surprises fans with bus Rendez-Vous

CRAIG DAVID sealed his reputation as one of the nicest people in pop — when he serenaded bus passengers with a surprise acoustic set.
Posting to Twitter yesterday, the Rendez-Vous singer alerted his fans to his public transport plan by writing: ‘I just got on a bus in London and will be performing a few songs! What a time to be alive!’
What a time, indeed, as Craig kindly streamed the impromptu singalong on Facebook, billing it as ‘a little private performance — low key — we’re just going to freestyle it’.
Hopping on to the classic London double decker, Craig proceeded to not only give a note-perfect performance of his famous hit 7 Days, accompanied by his mate Kwame on guitar, but also have a friendly chat with the bemused passengers.
And he wasn’t even put off his stride when, halfway through, some of the upper deck passengers came down to see what all the fuss was about, somehow managing to give them a hug while still holding his tune.
Ending the live stream, Craig said: ‘I think bus journeys need to be more like this.’ We think most commuters would agree with you, Craig.
