Cracking up! Rita Simons’ got critters in her knickers

RITA SIMONS screeched as critters got into her knickers during last night’s I’m A Celebrity Bushtucker Trial.

The EastEnders actress, 41, took on the Stars of the Silver Scream challenge with The Vamps’ singer James McVey, 24.

She had to poke her head into a pop corn machine and answer a series of questions on jungle-themed films, such as Brainspotting and Claws, as mealworms and cockroaches were poured on her.

But Rita couldn’t hide her horror as the creepy crawlies invaded her pants.

‘Get off me! They’re in my knickers! Get out of my crack,’ she screamed.

She recovered to help James win eight out of nine meal stars.
