Scott Eastwood: Dad didn’t give me fistfuls of dollars

CLINT EASTWOOD’S chip off the old block — son Scott — says the buck stopped with him when it came to following in his father’s famous footsteps.
Scott, who bears a striking resemblance to the Dirty Harry screen icon, said the 86-year-old refused to help him get a foot in the door in the film industry.
‘My dad never gave me a cent. He made me work for everything. Man, he was hard on me but it hardened me and gave me drive,’ the Suicide Squad actor insisted as he showed off his muscles to Men’s Health — something Clint can take some credit for.
‘My dad is a machine about exercise. He showed me how to lift when I was 14 or 15,’ added Scott, 31. He also says his dad’s Hollywood mates weren’t much help. ‘Nobody took me seriously. Everyone brushed me off, like, “you’re Clint Eastwood’s son, you’re not a real f***ing actor”. But it finally seems to be working out.’ Read the full interview in Men’s Health, out now.
