Cheryl’s pal Naughty Boy teases a ‘special’ collaboration

NAUGHTY BOY has rubbished reports that his pal Cheryl is being axed by her record label.
The Brit super-producer leapt to Chez’s defence amid claims that her career is a sinking ship.
‘From what I know, I don’t think Cheryl is any danger of being without a record label,’ he exclusively told Guilty Pleasures. ‘Cheryl isn’t designed to fail, and the music will do the talking.’

The 33-year-old musician, aka Shahid Khan, feels the duo have conjured up magic in the studio. ‘I have done something special with her,’ he teased. ‘It’s not going to come out straight away, but when the time is right you’ll hear it.
‘The stuff I’ve done with Cheryl vocally, people are going to be surprised — I believe in her.’
In February, it was claimed the former Girls Aloud favourite was on the verge of being dropped by Universal.
Meanwhile, Naughty revealed he has nabbed pop’s brightest star, Dua Lipa for his second album, due in September. ‘Dua Lipa, Julia Michaels, Bebe Rexha, Emeli [Sandé] is on there and so is Raye,’ he confirmed. ‘I record women best.’
He is particularly proud of his new single All Or Nothing (feat Ray BLK and Wyclef Jean). ‘It sounds more fresh than a lot of music right now,’ Naughty explained.
