Cher turns back time at Billboard Music Awards
CHER must have figured out how to turn back time after bringing the house down at the Billboard Music Awards.
Fans couldn’t Believe their eyes as the 71-year-old singer rolled back the years at the star-studded ceremony.
Proving age is just a number, she flashed the flesh during two stunning performances at Las Vegas’s T-Mobile Arena on Sunday.
She donned a diamond-studded bra for a rendition of 1999 tune Believe, then squeezed into a see-through black leotard, thigh-high boots and a curly wig to perform 1989 hit If I Could Turn Back Time.
Reflecting on her long career as she collected the icon gong, she said: ‘I’ve wanted to do what I do since I was four and I’ve been doing it for 53 years.’ Not shy to sing the praises of her toned figure, the star revealed she stays in shape by doing the ‘plank’ exercise move. She said: ‘I’m 71 and can do a five-minute plank, OK? Just saying.’
But not everyone approved of her outfit choices.
Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan literally landed himself in hot water, when he said on air the music legend should cover up and ‘grow old gracefully’… before spilling a mug of tea over himself.
