Catastrophe averted… the show is a US hit

CATASTROPHE stars Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney aren’t surprised that the show has managed to crack the States.
‘We were always arsehole-y enough to hope and expect it might go there,’ said Sharon, 46.
She added that the pair, who also created the comedy, didn’t write specially for US audiences. ‘It never felt like a thing, like we had to up any Americanisms,’ she added.
Series three of the Channel 4 show, which also airs on Amazon Prime, kicks off this later month and sees Delaney’s character, fall off the wagon.
Featuring one of the late Carrie Fisher’s final performances, Catastrophe returns to Channel 4 at 10pm on February 28.
