Cardi B: Why I had to bring Nicki Minaj to heel

CARDI B has been explaining why she attacked rival Nicki Minaj with her shoe at New York Fashion Week.

Putting in some fancy footwork of her own by doing the splits on stage at the American Music Awards in LA, the Bodak Yellow singer said: ‘For a while now she’s been taking a lot of shots at me. I spoke to her twice before, and we came to an understanding. But she kept it going.’

Cardi was tipped over the edge when Minaj ‘liked’ a tweet about the new mum’s parenting skills. The 25-year-old, whose daughter Kulture was born in July, said: ‘I’m a good-ass f***ing mom. So for somebody that don’t have a child to “like” that comment…?’

Explaining why she lashed out during Fashion Week, Cardi, who scooped three AMAs, added: ‘Many people say that party wasn’t the time or the place, but I’m not going to catch another artist in the grocery store…’
