A FILM-MAKER who is still alive was featured in an Oscars sequence celebrating industry figures who died in the previous 12 months.

Jan Chapman said she was ‘devastated’ at being pictured during the In Memoriam section instead of her friend Janet Patterson, a costume designer who died in October. Ms Chapman said: ‘I had urged her agency to check any photograph. It is very disappointing.’

During the section a tearful Jennifer Aniston, 49, paid tribute to Aliens actor Bill Paxton, 61, who died at the weekend, as a ‘beloved actor’.
