Busy Nicole Kidman has four in the Cannes

NICOLE KIDMAN, Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Pattinson are among the A-listers heading for the French Riviera as the 70th Cannes Film Festival begins today.
Nicole has no fewer than four projects to plug — and some of them are weirdly interconnected.
First up, there’s Sofia Coppola’s The Beguiled, which also stars Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning and Colin Farrell.
Then there’s another film with Colin, called Killing Of A Sacred Deer, from The Lobster filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos.
Thirdly, there’s a second film with Elle — John Cameron Mitchell’s How To Talk To Girls At Parties — which also stars Matt Lucas and Ruth Wilson. And finally there’s Nic’s turn in TV show Top Of The Lake.
But the small screen offering that everyone’s really on tenterhooks to see is the return of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, 26 years after its last outing.

Jake Gyllenhaal, meanwhile, will be promoting Netflix monster movie Okja, and Twilight star Robert Pattinson will be out for the premiere of bank-robber drama Good Time, starring Jennifer Jason Leigh.
Plus there’s lots of buzz about Carol director Todd Haynes’ new film Wonderstruck, starring Michelle Williams and Julianne Moore.
With directors Pedro Almodovar and Paolo Sorrentino, plus actors Jessica Chastain and Will Smith joining the judging panel for the coveted Palme d’Or, it’s gearing up to be an exciting few days.
The festival runs from May 17-28
