Britney Spears sets the record straight over critics’ lip-sync rumours
BRITNEY SPEARS put her money where her mouth is to prove she can — and indeed does — sing live.
The pop princess has been accused of miming in the past and, last week, hit out at critics for not praising her enough. Gimme More rave reviews, she was basically saying.
‘It really p***es me off because I am busting my ass out there and nobody ever really gives me credit for it,’ Britters moaned. But no one could claim the 35-year-old was lip-synching this time around when she paid tribute to a pal during a scintillating show in Singapore.
‘I have a really special friend here. He’s been with me — I’m gonna cry — for, like, five years,’ she gushed, ‘He’s one of my favourite people. His name is Jacob’.
The mum-of-two then kicked off a rendition of ‘happy birthday’ — and, guess what, her vocals were Stronger than ever.
