Brian Blessed ‘can’t stand’ Piers Morgan

BRIAN BLESSED has branded Piers Morgan ‘ugly’ in an extraordinary appearance on the Good Morning Britain presenter’s show.

Booming away in his trademark rambling style, the veteran actor first delivered an off-the-cuff weather report, saying of Scotland: ‘It’s always wet whenever I’ve climbed a mountain there.

‘Watch out for the men in their kilts, the wind will blow right up their kilts!’

But it was his comments about the controversial GMB host that drew gasps and giggles from Piers’ sometimes long-suffering co-hosts Kate Garraway and Susanna Reid.

‘I can’t stand that Piers Morgan,’ said Blessed. ‘He’s so ugly and he never bathes.’

It’s unclear whether Brian was joking, but just for good measure — and in case any viewers were still feeling slightly groggy from sleep — he finished up by loudly declaiming his famous Flash Gordon catchphrase: ‘Gordon’s Alive!’
