Bone break was handy for James McAvoy
JAMES McAVOY’S hands-on approach to acting left him with a broken knuckle and finger.
The Scottish star mashed up one of his mitts while shooting M Night Shyamalan thriller Split, in which he plays a man with a multiple personality disorder.
‘I punched a metal door. Very manly,’ said the actor, 38, adding: ‘I recommend it as a means of releasing your anger and angst — no, don’t do it!’
He told Heat magazine: ‘I was frustrated with myself shooting a scene where I had to play eight of the characters in one take. I lost it and bam! Crack!’
The break came in handy, mind, for his role in new spy flick Atomic Blonde — as his character has a broken hand.
