Bodyguard star Richard Madden tipped for 007 role

RICHARD MADDEN will reportedly be offered the role of James Bond when Daniel Craig steps down.

The 32-year-old is said to have impressed 007 bosses with his performance in BBC1 drama Bodyguard. Madden, is now the top pick of executive producer Barbara Broccoli to take on the role, said a source for the film franchise.

‘It’s seriously looking like he [Madden] is going to get the job,’ an insider told The Mail On Sunday. ‘Not only is he on top of Barbara’s list, she is preparing to offer him the role.’

Other actors linked to the part in recent months have included British-born actors Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston and Tom Hardy.
